We've been lucky enough to be invited to some great Italian beer festivals as well as some epic collaborations in recent years. On these trips we always found the super fresh Italian pilsners at the end of a hot day were the treat we couldn't resist time after time. These beers owe their provanence to the amazing work of people like Agostino at Birrificio Italiano who pioneered some unique brewing techniques in the early days of the craft beer movement all the way back in the late 90s. Taking a classic German pilsner but adding some high quality and aromatic late stage hops. These hops sourced from the best hop fields North of the Alps gave the beer a unique character & quality that people fell in love with. Fast forward to today and it's the one style all beer lovers seek out when hitting the boot. Across the water in America it has also become the go to lager for many of the most famous craft brewing names. We've been playing around with our lager ideas for a year and by the far the most overwhelming response we had from drinkers was bring back the Italian pilsner recipe. So here it is in all its subtle glory. We add some beautiful strisselpalt hops from Alsace at the late stage of brewing to give this beer it's delicate hop aromas. It's never tiring on the palette though and thanks to the clean, premium malt base and 30 days lagering it's a uniquely crisp and fresh lager.
