Midnight Sun is a collaboration with Lacada Brewery, built around contrast. It pours jet black, but everything else leans bright and expressive. Classic Black IPA territory, but with a modern hop profile that keeps things lifted and fresh. There’s a soft roast backbone from the dark malts, balanced carefully so it never drifts into stout territory. Instead, it sets the stage for layers of citrus, pine and tropical character from a punchy hop lineup. In the glass, it’s deep black with a tan head. The aroma brings citrus peel, pine and a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate, you get gentle cocoa and light roast up front, quickly followed by bright hop character. Citrus and pine lead, with softer tropical notes underneath. The bitterness is firm but clean, keeping the finish dry and moreish.
