The first of two collaboration brews this month, and both with amazing French breweries! We first met Antoine and Marie at Hop city several years ago when @SparkleQuiberon was little more than an idea. Since then, we've been fortunate enough to pour alongside them at beer festivals across France and see that passion evolve into an incredible brewpub producing some top-tier hoppy beer. So we figured it was about time we invited them to Balleyfermot to squeeze out some juice from the mash filter! Built on our usual wheat forward base, with pilsner malt to bring out a vibrant luminosity, this double IPA is everything great about New Zealand grown hops. A big dose of Motueka in the whirlpool carrying forward a zingy lime comminute top-note before layering in a massive base of sticky Nelson Sauvin. A second dry hop split between even more Motueka and a touch of New Zealand grown Cascade, really hammers home the zesty grapefruit and lime with just a hint of ripe mango on the finish. Topped with our signature meringue foam, this is one hell of a tribute to some of the best grown hops available right now!
