SAILING THE SEVEN SEAS, FROM BEER TO ETERNITY!

SCHLENKERLA GRODZISKIE SMOKED WHEAT

Stock Code: SCHLEN008

Grodziskie is a historical beer style from Poland that owes its name to the town of Grätz or Grodzisk Wielkopolski, southwest of Poznan. Having been brewed and enjoyed in Poland since the Middle Ages, over the course of the 20th century it was increasingly forgotten and eventually disappeared completely. It was not until the Polish craft beer movement that Grodziskie made a well-deserved comeback in 2010 as the PINTA brewery breathed new life into this old beer style. Grodziskie celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025. To mark this anniversary, Schlenkerla have brewed their interpretation of this Polish beer classic: Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier in the Grätzer style. The brewery dry wheat smoked malt in their own malt house over an open fire made of oak wood and have utilised Polish aroma hops from Lubelski for a herbal, aromatic hop note. The result is a highly drinkable beer with a light smoky aroma, a herbal hop note, fine carbonation and a very moderate alcohol content.
