"Brouwerij Haacht was founded in 1898, situated 30km north east of Brussels. With over 125 years of brewing experience it remains a true family-run brewery, now led by the fourth generation who have chosen to stay proudly independent. Norbertine monks, like many other ecclesiastical
institutions, were brewers. In 1990, after centuries of production at the Abbey of Tongerlo, they formed a long term relationship with Brouwerij Haacht who now brew Tongerlo beers under the approving eye of the monastic community. Copper coloured with a creamy, white head. The initial taste is soft with a pronounced sweetness. It has a full flavour with a mildly dry aftertaste."
